Piece of a pea (20 Minuten - 2019)
Contemporary Circus & Dance & Performance
The partly autobiographical piece deals with the question of dealing with the past, the acceptance of oneself and so with the question of the perception of our reality.
The performer invents situations to pursue the question of perceived truth. She plays with different perceptions of herself and the environment. A fictitious place arises, based on different situations created with objects, the performer reflects and tells us our history. The performer plays with the aesthetics and the relationship between dance performance and circus aesthetics.
And: the pea serves as a symbol and metaphor for the degree migration between nothing and just sufficient.
